The works, published in July 2026 by IGI Global, comprise a total of 22 chapters and stem from papers presented and developed within the scope of the first Performativity(ies) of Memory(ies) Interdisciplinary Conference (PMIC), held in 2025 at ESE-UNIPVC.
The volumes titled “Spatial Aesthetics of Memory: Place, Perception, and Performative Experience” and “Material Cultures of Memory: Archives, Heritage, and Visual Representation” are now integrated into Scopus, significantly expanding the international visibility of the works published within them.
Each work contains 11 chapters, authored by researchers from various disciplinary areas and geographical contexts, whose contributions originated from the conference and were subsequently developed for publication.
The two volumes complementarily explore different dimensions of memory studies and artistic research. The first focuses on the relationships between memory, space, perception, and performative practices, while the second addresses the material and visual dimensions of memory, including archives, heritage, museums, visual culture, and artistic practices.
The 22 chapters bridge areas such as cultural and memory studies, heritage, visual arts, architecture, history, anthropology, media, and artistic studies, reflecting the interdisciplinary nature that also underpinned the PMIC.
The indexing in Scopus represents a further outcome of the work initiated with the conference, granting greater international academic visibility to the contributions gathered in these two international works.
