Câmara Municipal de Ponte de Lima

The Municipality of Ponte de Lima inaugurated on October 20 the exhibition “20 Paths in the Voice of Migrants”, open at the Municipal Library until November 20, 2026, aiming to raise community awareness on migration and inclusion issues.

The initiative, promoted in partnership with EAPN Portugal within the CLDS-5G project, aims to showcase the journeys and experiences of migrants who have chosen Portugal to live and build their lives. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Councillor for Social Development, Family, Inclusion, and Health of the Municipality and the Coordinator of the European Anti-Poverty Network (EAPN Portugal).
Through various testimonies, the exhibition shares stories, experiences, aspirations, and dreams, as well as migrants' expectations regarding the host society. The accounts provide a better understanding of integration challenges and encourage empathy and respect for cultural diversity.
With this exhibition, the Municipality of Ponte de Lima and EAPN Portugal seek to foster a more informed, inclusive, and supportive community, reinforcing the importance of intercultural dialogue and the valuing of each person.
