The Municipality of Ponte de Lima inaugurates tomorrow, Thursday, the first edition of the Loureiro Summit, an event dedicated to the valorization of the Loureiro grape variety, taking place at the Palacete Villa Moraes.

The Loureiro Summit, starting tomorrow, Thursday, at 6 PM at the Palacete Villa Moraes, aims to value, promote, and affirm the Loureiro grape variety. The event seeks to be a meeting point for producers, specialists, journalists, critics, and enologists, exploring the natural, historical, and cultural heritage of Ponte de Lima.
Curated by the newspaper PÚBLICO, the summit aims to establish Ponte de Lima as a reference point for the valorization of this emblematic grape variety from the Demarcated Region of Vinho Verde. The program includes masterclasses, a seminar, and tasting sessions to discuss the quality, diversity, and potential of Loureiro wines.
One of the highlights will be the Loureiro Wine Bar of Ponte de Lima, at Largo de Camões, on October 16th, starting at 7 PM. Open to the public, this initiative will allow residents and visitors to discover the Loureiro wines produced in the municipality.
The celebration will feature musical entertainment by the group Retimbrar, accompanied by the Rusga Típica da Correlhã, combining the promotion of local wines with the valorization of popular traditions.
This initiative reinforces the commitment of the Municipality of Ponte de Lima to promoting endogenous products, supporting local producers, and establishing the municipality as a center of excellence in Vinho Verde production, focusing the Loureiro grape variety in a strategy that merges wine, territory, culture, and identity.
