The Monserrate School Group, in collaboration with the Social Commission of Parishes (CSIF) of Santa Maria Maior, Monserrate, and Meadela, is organizing a series of exhibitions titled «Mental Health – 5 places, 5 realities».

The aim is to raise community awareness about the importance of psychological well-being, combat the stigma associated with mental health, and encourage dialogue on the subject. The Monserrate Secondary School hosted the inauguration on October 21st, in the Carolino Ramos Auditorium, accompanied by a lecture on mental health.
The session featured a testimony from artist André Lima Araújo of ArtMatriz, followed by a lecture by nurse Ricardo Peixoto from the Community Care Unit of Viana do Castelo, which promoted reflection on the importance of mental health and psychological well-being.
The initiative involved students from classes 12.º M, 12.º P, 12.º Q, and 12.º T, as part of the Citizenship and Development subject. The organization was led by professor Madalena Reis, with collaboration from the Citizenship Coordinator and the Intercultural Linguistic Mediator. Students from the Multimedia Course also participated, creating audio and video recordings for dissemination.
This initiative reinforces the Monserrate School Group's commitment to the integral formation of students and the promotion of a more conscious, inclusive, and mentally healthy school community. The Alto Minho Local Health Unit (ULSAM) congratulated the CSIF and the School Group for the initiative.
