The Caminha Municipal Council will hold an ordinary meeting on November 4th, 2026, at 3:00 PM, in the Noble Hall of the Paços do Concelho, to debate proposals on sports, associativism, traditions, and mobility.

In the sports domain, the municipal executive will analyze and vote on the Municipality of Caminha's adherence to the Portugal a Nadar program, as well as the approval of a cooperation protocol with the Portuguese Swimming Federation. A protocol of institutional cooperation with the Clube de Natação Atlânticos de Âncora will also be considered, reinforcing the municipality's commitment to promoting physical activity and sports participation.
Support for local associative movements will also be discussed, through the proposal to grant a subsidy to the Escolinha Nem o Céu é o Limite - Associação Desportiva, Cultural e Recreativa, aimed at supporting the realization of the 1st Stage of the III Circuit "Nem o Céu é o Limite".
The Christmas season also marks the agenda, with the analysis of the participation rules for the "Rota dos Presépios" (Nativity Scene Route) and "Montras de Natal" (Christmas Shop Windows) contests, initiatives intended to encourage community participation and contribute to the local commerce's dynamism during the festive period.
Regarding traffic and public space, the Municipal Executive will deliberate on the proposal to place signage on Caminho do Nuno and Caminho do Palão, in the parish of Lanhelas, for subsequent submission to the Municipal Assembly. The temporary alteration of traffic and parking regulations in the Historic Center of Caminha, motivated by the Corta-Mato (cross-country race), is also planned, as well as the ratification of traffic changes implemented in Vila Praia de Âncora during the All Saints' Day ceremonies.
