The Municipality of Sesimbra has once again been recognized with the Flag of Ethics in Sport. The award ceremony took place at the Multiusos do Parque Augusto Pólvora, in Maçã, on September 26, during the closing session of the colloquium Pensar o Desporto - Construir o Futuro (Thinking Sport - Building the Future).
The award was presented to the Vice-President of the municipality, José Polido, by the representative of the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ), Lídia Graça, and by the Coordinator of the National Plan for Ethics in Sport, José Lima.

The awarding of this certification to Sesimbra results from an application prepared by the Office for Support to Associative Movement and Parishes of the Sesimbra Municipal Council. This is the second consecutive time the municipality has received this recognition, which is valid until 2028.
The colloquium Pensar o Desporto - Construir o Futuro brought together, throughout the day, representatives from various entities linked to local and national sport, including leaders, coaches, and athletes, to discuss several topics.
Simultaneously, outside the Multiusos, the initiative Junta-te ao Desporto´26 (Join Sport'26) took place, a showcase of sports modalities promoted by Sesimbra's associative movement. Both initiatives were organized by the Parish Council of Castelo, with the support of the Sesimbra Municipal Council.
