The Sesimbra Municipal Fisheries Council has postponed the meeting scheduled for October 3rd, following the two-month extension of the suspension of the closure of the access road to Sesimbra Port.

The decision was announced in an official statement, following a proceeding before the Court on September 29, 2026. Access to the Shelter Port will remain unchanged during this two-month period.
The service provision contract from Infraestruturas de Portugal, S.A., concerning the slope stabilization project, was also submitted to the Court, a step considered relevant by the Council in finding a definitive solution.
The Municipal Fisheries Council believes the next two months are sufficient to carry out the necessary work and contacts to ensure safe and permanent access to Sesimbra Port.
A new meeting will be scheduled if, by the end of this period, there is no concrete progress in resolving the dispute and ensuring normal port operations. The Council reaffirms its commitment to monitor the process and collaborate towards a swift and definitive solution.
