The center of Montijo will be transformed with the return of the Christmas Market, which will take place between November 27 and December 24. The initiative, part of the “Natal com Arte” program, has its registration period for participation open from October 6 to 25.
The Praça da República, Rua Guerra Junqueiro, and Praça Gomes Freire de Andrade will be the stages for various proposals in trade, crafts, gastronomy, and sweets. The Praça da República will host crafts, traditional sweets, and local trade, while Rua Guerra Junqueiro will be dedicated to gastronomy and beverages, potentially extending to Praça Gomes Freire de Andrade.
During the event, there will be a regular program of entertainment and fun, aiming to boost the city center and provide moments of family gathering.
The Christmas Market opens on November 27, Friday, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. On other days, operating hours will be: Fridays, Saturdays, eve of holidays, and December 21, 22, and 23, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM; Sundays and holidays, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM; and on December 24, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The market will be closed on December 2, 3, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, and 17.
The initiative seeks to value crafts, sweets, and traditional trade, as well as gastronomic offerings, contributing to the city's economic dynamism during the Christmas season.
