The Joaquim d´Almeida Cinema-Theater in Montijo hosted the show «Mas Ele Hoje Trouxe-me Flores» on October 21st, promoted by the Local Equality Team as part of the Municipal Equality Day.

The performance, created by the Cultural Association Embuscada, was aimed at the school community to raise awareness about dating violence. The event was attended by the vice-president of the Montijo Municipal Chamber, Ilídio Massacote, who emphasized the importance of respect and the message that aggression can never be love.
The play rawly and intimately explored manifestations of power, control, and emotional dependence that can hide behind romantic love. Following the performance, a well-attended debate allowed for sharing doubts, opinions, and reflections on signs of violence and the importance of healthy relationships based on respect, equality, and freedom.
The initiative involved partnerships with APAV, CIG, UMAR, ILGA Portugal, and Casa Qui. The Montijo Municipal Chamber and the Local Equality Team aimed to contribute to a more informed and conscious community by engaging young people in building violence-free relationships.
