The intervention aims to improve working conditions for employees of the municipality's operational services, addressing detected anomalies in the existing roofs. These include rainwater ingress, poor thermal performance, and maintenance difficulties due to deformation of the panels and their overlap.
The project involves replacing the three roofs while maintaining the original metal structure. The new material will be certified sandwich panels (standard “NP EN 14509:2016”) with a 30mm thick polyurethane foam (PUR) inner core. The top sheet will be pre-lacquered galvanized steel in tile-red (0.5mm) and the bottom sheet pre-lacquered galvanized steel in white (0.4mm), including fixing screws and sealants.
Ridge capping and peripheral flashing in 0.6mm thick pre-lacquered steel will also be supplied and installed. Additionally, the gutters will be waterproofed to ensure system integrity, involving cleaning, surface preparation, and application of a single-layer system with bituminous primer and 5kg/m² bituminous membrane (APP).
The Municipality of Setúbal encourages active citizen participation in the city's daily management, inviting contributions or reports so that municipal services can respond promptly to requests.
