This outcome unequivocally attests to the quality of the Faculty's courses and the rigor of the continuous improvement efforts that underpin them. A3ES is the entity responsible for evaluating and accrediting higher education institutions and their study programs in Portugal. Achieving accreditation for the maximum term, without any imposed conditions, is the most demanding result of this process.
Of the 51 study programs evaluated, 47 were part of the Accreditation of Ongoing Study Programs (ACEF) process, all receiving accreditation for six years, the maximum period provided. The remaining four, subject to Special Requests for Accreditation Renewal (PERA), also obtained accreditation for the maximum duration, aligning them with other courses in their scientific area.
Carla Quintão, Deputy Director for the Pedagogical Council, described the results as "a very significant recognition of the quality of our educational offerings and the daily work we undertake to ensure the quality and continuous improvement of our study programs." She highlighted the commitment of the scientific committees, coordinators, students, and department heads.
Quintão added that this achievement "sets the bar very high" and that the objective will be to maintain these quality levels in future accreditations, "continuing to work together to do better and better."
