The Consumer Municipal Information Centre (CIAC), in collaboration with the Directorate-General for Consumer Defence, Trade and Services (DGC), marks today, October 15th, the World Day for Conflict Resolution with the launch of a new online portal.

The portal aims to provide information on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) for Consumer disputes, promoting mechanisms such as mediation, conciliation, and arbitration. The initiative seeks to raise awareness about the importance of these conflict resolution methods, highlighting their advantages in terms of simplicity, speed, and accessibility.
The platform offers detailed information on the ADR network, including its legal framework, operation, types of disputes covered, and the network of arbitration centres. It also addresses the role of public entities involved, the obligations of economic operators, and includes a section for frequently asked questions, publications, and support resources.
With this launch, the DGC reaffirms its commitment to facilitating access to information and encouraging the use of effective methods for resolving disputes between consumers and businesses.
