The historic 100th edition of the 6DAYS FIM Enduro of Nations concluded in Alentejo Litoral, following six days of competition that attracted thousands of spectators and boosted sports tourism in the region.

The 100th edition of the 6DAYS FIM Enduro of Nations concluded between October 12th and 17th, transforming the Alentejo Litoral into the epicenter of world motorcycling. The six-day event was a collective success, supported institutionally by CIMAL – Comunidade Intermunicipal do Alentejo Litoral and its five associated municipalities: Alcácer do Sal, Grândola, Odemira, Santiago do Cacém, and Sines.
The inter-municipal contribution was crucial for logistical support, the provision of vital infrastructure, such as the Parque de Feiras e Exposições de Grândola for the headquarters, and for integrated territorial promotion. This cohesion allowed for the international projection of Alentejo Litoral as an excellent destination for sports and nature tourism, with the route spanning 1,500 kilometers.
In the sporting aspect, Italy secured victory in the World Trophy, retaining the world team title, with Andrea Verona leading an imperial performance and also winning the overall individual classification. The women's team from the United States made history by securing their seventh world title in the Women's World Trophy, beating strong competition from the Australian team. Portugal showed great resilience on the demanding terrain, finishing with the Junior team achieving an 8th place.
The event culminated with the Final Cross on the sands of Praia Vasco da Gama in Sines, in front of thousands of spectators. The event had a massive impact, directly involving over three thousand people and attracting tens of thousands of fans and tourists. The local hotel, restaurant, and retail sectors experienced a strong dynamic, with high occupancy rates that defied the traditional post-summer decline in tourism.
According to José Manuel Santos, president of the Entidade Regional de Turismo do Alentejo e Ribatejo, the competition exceeded expectations, guaranteeing over 10,000 overnight stays and attracting an estimated 100,000 spectators, consolidating Alentejo Litoral as a strategic driver for international sports tourism.
