The competition, held at Quinta Maria Pires, was decisive for the national athletics qualification and featured elite athletes. Mariana Moreira and Ricardo Ferreira, both with ties to the Amora circuit, confirmed their favoritism in their respective categories. Moreira displayed tactical maturity, while Ferreira imposed his pace and experience to secure a significant victory.
Athletes praised the event's technical organization, managed by the Amora Parish Council and the Seixal Municipal Council. The technical course and terrain conditions, drier and more arid due to the warm weather, demanded increased effort and concentration, especially on the uphill sections.
In the overall team classification, the Oeiras Nucleus stood out, placing two teams in the top positions. The final order was: 1st Place: Núcleo de Oeiras / ADNO; 2nd Place: Run Tejo - Prevent Sprain; 3rd Place: A Natureza Ensina.
The 36th edition of the Amora City Cross Country race concludes with a positive assessment, reaffirming the commitment of the Amora Parish Council and the Seixal Municipal Council to promoting sports.
