The Rally V, Alentejo's largest Glass Recycling Rally, is back. This initiative, co-financed by Sociedade Ponto Verde and promoted by AMBILITAL, challenges the municipalities of Alcácer do Sal, Aljustrel, Ferreira do Alentejo, Grândola, Odemira, Santiago do Cacém, and Sines to discover who can recycle the most glass packaging.
In the 2nd edition of Rally V – V de Vidro, the Alcácer do Sal Mixed Firefighters were chosen by the Municipality to participate in the inter-municipal competition. Each recycled glass container counts towards the municipality's performance and can contribute to the Firefighters receiving a prize of up to 2 thousand euros, intended for the acquisition of Personal Protective Equipment.
Restaurants, cafes, and accommodations can help the Municipality go further. Throughout the campaign, the V DE VIDRO team will tour the 7 municipalities within AMBILITAL's intervention area and visit 200 HORECA channel establishments. To facilitate recycling in the sector, the campaign will install a new glass bank with a tipping system in each municipality and distribute bins to 10 HORECA establishments in each council.
Every gesture counts for RALLY V. By correctly separating glass packaging, establishments contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable, and more responsible Alentejo, helping the municipality achieve a better position in the competition.
