Health and Social Action Sector technicians from the Municipal Council, students from the Alcácer Senior University, and members of Group 844 Alcácer do Sal – National Scout Corps joined the “É Tempo de Ajudar” campaign, promoted by the Coração Delta association, to collect personal hygiene products for vulnerable elderly individuals.

The solidarity initiative took place on October 24th and 25th, next to the entrance of the Intermarché in Alcácer do Sal. Under the motto “Give to those who have given so much,” 859 hygiene products were collected, which will allow for the creation of over 120 personal hygiene kits to be distributed later.
This campaign, now in its 13th edition, aims to support elderly people in situations of social vulnerability. Since 2015, it has enabled the delivery of over 26,000 hygiene kits to needy elderly individuals nationwide.
