The ULS Amadora/Sintra marked World Occupational Therapy Day, observed on October 27th, with various therapeutic and recreational activities aimed at promoting user inclusion and active participation in the community.

Users and Occupational Therapists from the Mental Health Department, the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service, and Primary Healthcare Services of ULS Amadora/Sintra participated in diverse therapeutic and recreational activities. These initiatives expressed this year's celebration theme, “Participation Matters,” which highlights the importance of recognizing each person's dignity, valuing their choices and voice, and respecting their right to actively participate in decisions and occupations that give meaning to their lives.
Through the involvement of its Occupational Therapy professionals, ULS Amadora/Sintra joined this day, reinforcing the importance of participation as a fundamental element in promoting user autonomy, inclusion, and well-being, in line with the objectives of the World Federation of Occupational Therapists.
