Spooky pumpkins, bats, black cats, and spiderwebs served as inspiration for a few different days at the Municipal Library of Alcácer do Sal. The initiatives, which took place last week, involved the youngest attendees in activities that sparked curiosity and creativity.
The ground floor room, recently restored after the floods at the beginning of the year, welcomed preschool students from CEPE de Alcácer do Sal, the Children's Center of Alcácer do Sal, and the Cultural Center of the São João and Olival Queimado neighborhoods. The space was transformed into a setting befitting the festive season.
The program included a Story Time session dedicated to the book “Dear Monster” by Dita Zipfel, inviting children to immerse themselves in the world of reading in an engaging atmosphere. There was also time to unleash imagination with pumpkin personalization, exploring creativity through plastic arts.
A science experiment combined surprise with discovery, capturing the attention of the young participants and fostering curiosity. Amidst stories, pumpkins, and experiments, the library served as a space for discovery and fun, blending the Halloween celebration with reading and creativity.
