The Escola Superior de Desporto de Rio Maior held, on September 24, the opening session for its Master's degrees in Physical Activity and Health, Sports Management, and Sports Training, welcoming students embarking on their advanced studies at the institution.
The session included the panel “The Experience of Doing a Master's at ESDRM,” where Ana Morais (Master's student in Physical Activity and Health), Eduardo Caetano (Master's in Sports Management), and João Abreu (Master's in Sports Training) shared their experiences, challenges, and opportunities, highlighting the impact of their education on their academic and professional growth.
The conference “Thinking and Intervening as a Coach,” delivered by Professor Doctor Jorge Araújo, a national reference in leadership, coaching, and team development, addressed topics such as behavior, the individual's role within the collective, and the importance of teamwork, emphasizing fundamental skills for high-performance contexts.
At the end of his intervention, Jorge Araújo offered autographed copies of his book “Desporto Português – Que Comportamentos?” (Portuguese Sports – What Behaviors?), described as a work that merges the practical intuition of leadership with the theoretical depth of behavioral philosophy.
The Director of ESDRM, Professor Doctor Nuno Pimenta, closed the event by thanking the participants and wishing the new students a successful academic journey, reinforcing the institution's commitment to advanced training that is close to students and aligned with current professional demands.
