On October 1st, the Meninos Cantores do Município da Trofa celebrate 27 years of activity. To mark the occasion, the choir invites the entire community to participate in an open rehearsal, which will take place at 7:00 PM at the Casa da Cultura da Trofa.
Composed of 40 members and directed since its foundation on October 1st, 1999, by Antónia Maria Serra, the choir was the first project developed by the Culture Department of the Municipality of Trofa.
Throughout their career, the Meninos Cantores have performed concerts across the country and have performed in Spain, Italy, France, and England. Highlights include representing Portugal at the Lusophone Children's Choir in 2001 and participating in the Year of Portugal in Brazil in 2013.
On this special date, the public will be able to closely follow the preparation of the performances and learn about the collective work behind each presentation.
