Ana Inês Magalhães, a student at FEP - Faculty of Economics and Management, has been appointed the new EU Careers Ambassador for the University of Porto (U.Porto). Her two-year term (2027-2029) will focus on promoting internship and career opportunities within European Union institutions to the academic community.

The new ambassador, currently in her second year of the Master's in International Economics and Management at FEP, began her academic journey with a Bachelor's degree in Languages and International Relations from the Faculty of Arts of U.Porto (FLUP). She is currently part of EUth, an FEP student organization dedicated to disseminating knowledge about the European Union, where she works in Human Resources.
Ana Inês Magalhães's mission will be to connect U.Porto students with internship and career opportunities available in European institutions, facilitating access to information about the respective selection processes.
Her term succeeds that of Miguel Correia, who served from 2024 to 2026. During his tenure, he developed initiatives such as presentations, clarification sessions, and a roadshow to promote professional opportunities within European institutions. Correia also organized workshops and simulated selection tests for the European Personnel Selection Office (EPSO), in addition to providing individual student support.
The previous ambassador's activities included collaboration with other Portuguese EU Careers Ambassadors, resulting in joint initiatives, webinars, and the National EU Careers Portugal Meetings in 2025 and 2026.
The selection and support process for EU Careers Ambassadors at U.Porto is backed by the U.Porto Talent and Career Hub, which coordinates the initiative with the academic community to strengthen students' connection to European career development opportunities.
Information on career and internship opportunities in the European Union can be found on the LinkedIn and Instagram pages of EU Careers Portugal, as well as on the U.Porto Talento e Carreira LinkedIn page.
