The Escola da Picota, in the Freguesia do Marco, will benefit from an intervention of 125 thousand euros, promoted by the Municipal Council, to improve accessibility conditions in its outdoor premises.

The intervention, with an estimated completion in 90 days, aims to reformulate access by creating ramps, addressing existing level differences that currently hinder mobility, especially for children. The project also includes the reformulation of the lower level to facilitate access for ambulances and other emergency vehicles.
Additionally, a connecting walkway will be built to link with the pavements of the adjacent urbanisation, enhancing safety for all users of the school and surrounding areas.
