The ceremony took place in the Salão Nobre of the Paços do Concelho, attended by the Mayor of Gondomar, Luís Filipe Araújo, and the Vice-Mayor, Nuno Fonseca, who oversees education. Representatives from Club 5Basket, Associação Sorrisos Tranquilos, Ala Nun’Álvares de Gondomar, and the Conservatório de Música de Gondomar were present, formalizing their involvement in these activities.
A total of 40 technicians will develop activities across eight school clusters in the municipality, covering areas such as physical activity, sports, music, and recreational pursuits. The aim is to leverage the knowledge and experience of local institutions, diversifying the offerings for primary school students and reaching a wider range of children.
AEC activities complement the school curriculum, providing students with sports, artistic, cultural, and recreational experiences. These initiatives are designed to foster the development of skills and interests, exploring various learning areas in a more relaxed setting.
The collaboration with local entities strengthens the connection between schools and the community, bringing students closer to the organizations within their territory. For the Municipality, this network of partnerships enriches the educational response, ensuring broad territorial coverage and promoting diverse opportunities.
