The Adega Cultural in Vila Verde is hosting the IV Health Fair today, an initiative promoted by the Projeto SANUS of the Municipality of Vila Verde. The event, running until 5:00 PM with free entry, invites the public to dedicate the day to prevention, well-being, and healthcare.
Visitors can undergo free screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar, vision, oral health, skin, weight, hearing, body mass index, and oximetry. Services such as massages and manicures are also available between 10:30 AM and 1:00 PM, and from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
At the opening session, the vice-president of the Vila Verde Municipal Chamber, Manuel Lopes, emphasized the importance of facilitating public access to health information and professionals. He highlighted the fair as a means to combat health illiteracy and reinforce prevention as part of daily care.
Lopes pointed out that the screenings and talks allow attendees to learn ways to care for their health, considering the initiative an investment in people and an encouragement for preventive habits. He also valued the trajectory of the Projeto SANUS, wishing the event success.
The coordinator of the Projeto SANUS, Dulce Filipe, presented the fair as a space for dialogue on health and well-being, thanking all contributors to its realization.
The program includes talks on acupuncture, skincare, acne, oral health, and aging. In the afternoon, the III Active Aging Meeting will take place, themed «There is always a reason to keep moving!», followed by the activity «Let's Get Moving!».
The IV Health Fair involves various entities and professionals, including the Escola Profissional Amar Terra Verde, the Escola Secundária de Vila Verde, pharmacies Fátima Marques, Medeiros, and Costa Macedo, Wells, Clínica de Medicina Dentária Dr.ª Márcia Costa, Clidume, Clínica Paula Sousa, OralMED, Termas de Caldelas, LojaPro, TEM, and Bio Essência Ervanária.
