The Mayor of Baião, Ana Raquel Azevedo, was in Santa Leocádia on Saturday, October 24, for another session of the "Baião + Próximo" program, which saw a strong turnout of citizens.

Throughout the morning, the mayor met with residents in direct, individual consultations at the Parish Council headquarters in Santa Leocádia, listening to concerns and collecting suggestions on matters related to the parish and the municipality. Issues of both individual and collective interest were presented by the community's inhabitants.
Ana Raquel Azevedo was accompanied by the President of the Parish Council, Alberto Monteiro, and the President of the Parish Assembly, José Manuel Ribeiro. The Mayor also went outside to attend to a resident with reduced mobility.
The "Baião + Próximo" program aims to bring the municipal executive closer to the population, taking services to different parishes and providing direct contact with citizens.
The last session of 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, November 14, in Santa Marinha do Zêzere, with the Mayor and the President of the Parish Council, Manuel Pereira. Consultations will take place between 9:30 AM and 1:00 PM, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Citizens can also request appointments with the Mayor, councilors, and the Municipal Ombudsman at the Paços do Concelho, by prior arrangement.
