The initiative aims to raise funds for the work carried out by Europacolon Portugal in supporting patients with digestive cancer, survivors, families, and caregivers, as well as promoting prevention, early diagnosis, and health literacy.
The association offers free support services such as Psychology, Nutrition, Second Medical Opinion, Opportunistic Screenings, Awareness Campaigns, and Support Lines.
The Municipality of Amarante, recognizing the relevance of this work, is joining the collection by providing donation boxes in municipal spaces with public attendance.
During September 25, 26, and 27, contributions can be made at the following locations: Balcão Único da Câmara Municipal, Casa da Portela (Division of Development and Social Cohesion), Pavilhão Municipal de Amarante, Pavilhão Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso, Pavilhão Municipal de Vila Caiz, Complexo Desportivo da Costa Grande, and Piscinas Municipais de Vila Meã.
The Municipality's collaboration aims to contribute to the initiative's dissemination and to reinforce community awareness about the importance of prevention, early diagnosis, and support for individuals affected by digestive oncological diseases.
