In Sousel, International School Library Month, observed in October, was celebrated with a series of activities aimed at the educational community, with the goal of promoting a love for books and reading.
As part of a partnership with the Dr. António António Garção Municipal Library, a mini-story marathon was organized. Municipal Library technician, Susana Farinha, traveled to different parts of the municipality, sharing narratives that sparked the imagination of the younger ones and provided moments of listening, discovery, and joy.
This initiative highlighted the importance of libraries as spaces for learning, creativity, culture, and leisure, encouraging reading habits from an early age.
The Municipality of Sousel congratulated the School Library for organizing these activities and thanked the Dr. António Garção Municipal Library for their collaboration.
