The Municipality of Monforte, through CLDS 5G, organized the 'Echoes of Human Rights' event on Associations' Day, promoting awareness on rights, duties, and associativism.

On September 27th, the Municipality of Monforte, via CLDS 5G Monforte – Operation IUPI 5G Monforte, organized the awareness event “Echoes of Human Rights”. This initiative was part of Axis 4 – Social Development, Community Empowerment, and Intervention in Social Emergency and Exceptional Scenarios.
The event was integrated into Associations' Day, promoted under Axis 2. Taking advantage of this community gathering, particularly the presence of local associations, children, and their families, the event aimed to disseminate knowledge about citizens' rights and duties, highlighting the importance of associativism, participation, and civic engagement.
A sensitization moment on Human Rights was developed, addressing topics such as equality, respect, inclusion, and non-discrimination in a simple and accessible way. Through the 'Game of Rights', children and families were invited to participate playfully, deepening their knowledge and sharing ideas about their rights and duties.
The use of the game allowed the sensitization to become a moment of joint learning involving different generations, reinforcing the importance of active community participation. Holding this event within a day dedicated to the associative movement helped establish a connection between knowledge of Human Rights, civic participation, and the role of associations.
The Municipality of Monforte thanks EAPN – Núcleo Distrital de Portalegre for providing the game and all associations, children, and families who participated. The CLDS 5G project is supported by Portugal 2030 – PESSOAS 2030 program, the European Social Fund + (ESF+), and the European Union.
