The Municipality of Monforte, through the Municipal Civil Protection Service, in coordination with the Intermunicipal Community of Alto Alentejo (CIMAA) and the Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests (ICNF), recently carried out preventive forestry and fuel management interventions in the municipality.

The work focused on the cleaning and preventive maintenance of various public spaces, covering both urban areas within the localities and rural areas. The teams carried out tree cutting and pruning, brush clearing, and integral cleaning of road verges and access routes.
This initiative, part of the Municipality's continuous preventive forestry plan, aims to enhance the protection of people and property, reduce the risk of rural fires, and make the municipal territory more resilient to adverse weather conditions.
