The Municipality of Marvão is reinforcing its commitment to education for the 2026/27 academic year, with an investment of approximately 360,000 euros across various areas, from the Municipal Nursery to the Senior University.

Education is a central and strategic pillar for the development of the Marvão municipality, evidenced by investments in school spaces, equipment, social support, transportation, human, and pedagogical resources. The goal is to ensure equal opportunities, educational success, and the well-being of Marvão's children.
Support includes the provision of didactic and school materials for the 1st cycle, as well as free school transport for students from preschool to the 1st cycle of the Agrupamento de Escolas de Marvão. The municipality also collaborates on study trips and school sports activities.
To promote equal access to education, the local authority provides adapted transport for children with special needs and ensures extended hours for preschool and the 1st cycle, with animation, family support, and curricular enrichment activities.
Municipal Toy Libraries ensure extended hours for preschool education and host leisure activities for children aged 3 to 12 during school breaks. Also highlighted are the projects ‘Marvão com Futuro’, ‘Educar com Arte’, and ‘Academia + Sucesso Escolar’.
This academic year, free access to the ‘Escola Virtual Premium’ platform is available to all children and teachers, from preschool to the 3rd cycle, as a measure of educational support and digital inclusion. The municipality thus reinforces its commitment to quality and modernization in education.
Additionally, the Municipality of Marvão awards Municipal Study Grants to encourage young students to pursue higher education.
