The main objective of this campaign is to reduce the risk of severe illness, hospitalization, and death from infection. Special encouragement is given to the most vulnerable population to get vaccinated during the months when these infections are most common, thereby reinforcing everyone's protection.
Similar to previous years, this initiative is the result of cooperation among various national entities. Under the coordination of the Direção-Geral da Saúde (Directorate-General of Health), these entities have joined forces to strengthen vaccination efforts. The communication campaign is once again coordinated by SPMS – Serviços Partilhados do Ministério da Saúde (Shared Services of the Ministry of Health).
