The tractor, which was also allocated to nine other municipalities in Alto Alentejo, is part of an initiative promoted by ICNF under the Mechanization Program for Fuel Management. The project is funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).
The allocation of this equipment represents a reinforcement of the operational resources available to municipalities. The aim is to enable them to carry out fuel management work and mitigate the risk of fires in rural areas.
This measure translates into increased safety and protection for local populations, strengthening the capacity to respond to rural fires in the region.
