Coordinated by Marco Mendonça, this new project is a commitment by the Parish Council to active aging, valuing seniors' participation in preserving cultural traditions.
The group's debut was sponsored by the Rancho Folclórico da Charneca de Pombal, which traveled to Madeira as part of their 50th-anniversary celebrations, fostering cultural exchange.
The program included performances by the University Senior Folk Group, the Monteverde Folk Group, and the Rancho Folclórico da Charneca de Pombal, offering an encounter of generations.
During the event, the Council president, Pedro Araújo, thanked the groups for their involvement and highlighted the seniors' enthusiasm and dedication.
The gathering concluded with a group photograph of the three ensembles, reinforcing the cultural identity of Imaculado and opening a new chapter for the University Senior.
