The reflection "The true artist is one who is not afraid to expose their inner self" marked the opening of the exhibition "O caminho das águas depois da última ceia" (The Path of Waters After the Last Supper), by Carla Cabral, at the Chapel of the Santo Amaro Museum Nucleus - Torre do Capitão. The ceremony was attended by Eduardo Jesus, Regional Secretary of Tourism, Environment and Culture.
During the inauguration, Eduardo Jesus praised Carla Cabral's ability to accept creative challenges "outside the box," establishing a unique connection with the exhibition space and its elements. The Regional Secretary highlighted the importance of the personal dimension in artistic creation and how the work allows for a deeper understanding of the artist herself.
The work of curator Márcia de Sousa, director of MUDAS.Museu, was also valued for her role in promoting contemporary art programming in various historical sites of the Region. This exhibition is part of the official program of the Regional Secretariat of Tourism, Environment and Culture.
The exhibition will be on display at the Torre do Capitão until February 2027, fostering interaction between contemporary art, cultural heritage, and the public.
