The "Everyone Knows How to Resuscitate" strategy, implemented in the Autonomous Region of Madeira since 2025, was featured at the ERC Congress – Resuscitation 2026, an international event held in Milan from September 17 to 19. The participation aimed to provide international visibility to the work developed on the island to empower the population to act in the crucial minutes of a cardiorespiratory arrest.
The program's presentation was led by nurse Lara Abreu, a professional from the Health Service of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (SESARAM). Currently working at the Regional Medical Emergency Service (SEMER), Abreu is also part of the training team for the Regional Civil Protection Service, IP-RAM (SRPC, IP-RAM).
