Funchal opens public consultation for new tourist tax

The Funchal Municipal Chamber has opened a public consultation for the draft Regulation of the Municipal Tourist Tax, with a 30-working-day period.

The deliberation, made in an ordinary meeting on October 1, 2026, follows articles 100.º and 101.º of the Administrative Procedure Code. The public consultation period will last for 30 working days, starting from the date of publication in the 2nd series of the Diário da República, and will conclude on November 19 of the current year.
The draft regulation is available for consultation at the municipality's Legal Division, in the usual places, and on the Municipal website of Funchal (www.funchal.pt).
