The Mobile Breast Cancer Screening Unit of the Portuguese League Against Cancer is installed in Moscavide, next to the Pavilhão do Oriente, until November 3, offering free screening to women aged 45 to 74.

The initiative aims to bring this important prevention program closer to the women of the parish. Screening is free and intended for asymptomatic women aged between 45 and 74, ensuring, when necessary, referral to the respective hospitals.
The unit will be in Moscavide until November 3, on weekdays, with operating hours from 09:00 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 17:30.
The Vice-President of the Loures Municipal Council, Sónia Paixão, and the Executive Member of the Parish Council of Moscavide and Portela, Tiago Batista, visited the unit, highlighting the importance of this response for the community.
Early diagnosis is a crucial tool in the fight against breast cancer. Bringing screening closer to people facilitates access, promotes prevention, and contributes to more women undergoing this follow-up at the right time.
The Portuguese League Against Cancer encourages women within the covered age group to take advantage of this opportunity while the Mobile Unit remains in Moscavide.
