The Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon held, from October 6 to 8, 2026, Conferences dedicated to the theme “Artificial Intelligence at the University: challenges, experiences, and solutions for the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon”.

For three days, the event gathered faculty, researchers, students, and other professionals to reflect on the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the university context, with particular attention to the challenges and opportunities this technology presents to the Faculty of Law.
The sessions addressed topics such as the use of AI in teaching and learning, the principles and values that should guide its use in academia, the challenges faced by students in acquiring knowledge and developing critical thinking, and the ethical issues associated with these technologies.
The Conferences thus served as a space for interdisciplinary debate and sharing of experiences on the transformation of legal education, research, and practice in a context of rapid AI development.
The organization of this initiative was led by Professors Doctors Ana Paula Dourado, Alexandra Leitão, Isabel Vieira Borges, Jorge Silva Santos, and Ana Rita Gil.
