The Government of Portugal and the United States will launch the CEO Forum Portugal–United States, a new platform for dialogue and economic cooperation among business leaders.
This initiative materializes the commitment made at the 52nd Permanent Bilateral Commission, held in Lisbon in January 2026. The forum will serve as a mechanism to strengthen bilateral economic relations, boost trade and investment, and identify new business opportunities in strategic areas.
The meeting will bring together government representatives from both countries and leading business executives, with a focus on priority sectors such as technology and digital platforms, energy and infrastructure, pharmaceutical industry and health, and defense and aerospace industry.
The private sector will play an active role in defining cooperation priorities and opportunities, applying its experience and market knowledge. Recommendations from the forum will be conducted in accordance with national and European legal frameworks, respecting the sovereignty and strategic interests of each country.
