The Jury unanimously decided to award the prize, highlighting the work's soundness and scientific quality. It also emphasized its excellent contribution to a greater understanding of the role of Women in the context of late Modern Era society.
Beatriz Sofia Correia holds a degree in History (2021) and a Master's in History of the Modern Era (2024), both from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra. She is currently a doctoral candidate in the same scientific area and Faculty, and a researcher at the Center for History of Society and Culture of the University of Coimbra. She also holds a postgraduate degree in Economic, International, and European Criminal Law (2023) from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra, where she has been pursuing her law degree since 2022.
The Alberto Sampaio Prize aims to recognize excellent works in the field of History, promoting and encouraging quality research.
