On November 16 and 17, 2026, the Polytechnic University of Lisbon is hosting the U!REKA Thinkathon: Solve the City at ESELx – Lisbon School of Education, fostering collaboration for more sustainable cities.

An initiative dedicated to the collaborative creation of solutions for more sustainable, intelligent, and carbon-neutral cities will take place on November 16 and 17, 2026. The U!REKA Thinkathon: Solve the City invites higher education students and faculty, from diverse fields and institutions, to work together on identifying and resolving real urban challenges.
The aim is to provide a space for interdisciplinary collaboration where participants can develop ideas, create prototypes, test solutions, and present their projects. The initiative is open to participants from national and international higher education institutions, regardless of their field of study.
The event will be held at ESELx – Lisbon School of Education, located on the Benfica Campus of the Polytechnic University of Lisbon. Registrations are open via a form provided by the organization.
Organized by the Polytechnic University of Lisbon as part of the European alliance U!REKA, the Thinkathon seeks to drive the development of more efficient and environmentally friendly cities.
