The University of Lisbon (ULisboa) is upgrading its Google Workspace to the Education Plus edition, providing new Artificial Intelligence, productivity, and collaboration tools for the entire academic community by the end of October 2026.

The update covers students, faculty, researchers, and technical and administrative staff, integrating with ULisboa's digital service offerings. The new functionalities aim to support teaching, learning, research, and work.
With these new features, the academic community will be able to explore ideas and study using tools like Gemini and NotebookLM for document analysis and information summarization. It will also be possible to create content, such as presentations, documents, and videos, with AI assistance.
The updated Google Workspace offers new features in Google Meet for classes, meetings, and group work, as well as advanced information protection tools for more secure work. The goal is to foster creativity, critical thinking, and responsibility in the use of these tools.
More information on the use of these tools is available at digital.ulisboa.pt and on the guidelines for the responsible use of Generative Artificial Intelligence at ulisboa.pt.
