The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (NOVA FCSH) has released essential information for the 2nd phase registration of the National Access Competition and special access competitions, aimed at degree placements. The enrollment and registration process will take place online between October 1st, starting at 10:00 AM, and October 3rd. For students facing difficulties, the Student Single Point of Contact, located on the 1st floor of Tower B, will be available for support.
Students of Languages, Literatures and Cultures must register only for the mandatory curricular unit “Introduction to Literary Studies”. Meanwhile, Translation students will focus on the mandatory curricular unit “History and Theory of Translation”. Registration for the remaining curricular units will be managed by NOVA FCSH services after the course presentation session and counseling, scheduled for October 6th at 10:00 AM in room C002.
On October 6th, students must attend room C002 at 10:00 AM to receive individual counseling on choosing their curricular units. It is necessary to present the model schedule for the chosen variant, available for consultation and download. After counseling, the finalized schedule must be submitted to the Student Single Point of Contact by the end of the day for course registration.
Online enrollment and registration on the InforEstudante platform begin on October 1st at 10:00 AM. Students must complete the process, including payments for the 1st tuition installment, administrative costs, and school insurance, by October 3rd to secure their place. Access credentials vary depending on the type of competition (National Access Competition or special competitions).
Payments required at the time of enrollment include €35 for administrative costs, €13 for school insurance, and €157 for the 1st tuition installment (€1750 for international students). Payment can be made via multibanco or homebanking and is automatically validated. Students applying for scholarships from the Social Action Services must send proof to balcao-estudantes@fcsh.unl.pt, deferring other payments.
Necessary documents include the Citizen Card and the placement email from DGES. The Student Card can be requested online or in person, with debit or non-banking functionality options. A temporary or digital card is also available. The Student Guide 2026/2027, available online, contains detailed information on regulations, services, and contacts.
Classes commence on October 7th. On October 6th, between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM, students can collect their welcome kit at the check-in desks. Social activities such as Speedfriend and a get-together are also scheduled for October 6th.
