The Order of Pharmacists (OF) hosted representatives from the Platform of Young Health Professionals to present a proposal for the creation of the National Observatory of Health Professionals.

The presented proposal aims to create a national instrument for the characterization and planning of health human resources, by integrating the records of Professional Orders with data from the Central Administration of the Health System (ACSS).
The objective is to obtain an integrated view of health professionals in the public, private, and social sectors, avoiding duplication of records and enabling the development of studies, indicators, and forecasting models for future professional needs.
During the meeting, possibilities for OF's collaboration on this project were discussed, particularly regarding the sharing of professional information and issues related to data protection, use, and availability.
The meeting was attended by the OF's president, Helder Mota Filipe, deputy secretary-general, Diana Costa, and technical secretary for International Relations and Youth, Diogo Morim. The Platform was represented by Xavier Canavilhas from the Association of Young Doctors of Portugal (AJOMED), João Diogo from the Portuguese Association of Young Pharmacists (APJF), and Catarina Duarte from the Portuguese Association of Young Veterinary Doctors (APJMV).
