The authorization for TML – Transportes Metropolitanos de Lisboa to create the transport passes “Navegante 1, 3, and 5 days” and “Navegante Events”, as well as the technical report analysis of the Deposit and Refund System (Volta system), will be key points at the meeting of the Lisbon Metropolitan Council, scheduled for September 24 (Thursday), starting at 10:30 AM, at the headquarters of the Lisbon Metropolitan Area.
The agenda also includes the approval of AML's adhesion to the “MCR2030 – Building Resilient Cities” initiative, the mid-term evaluation of the Metropolitan Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change, and amendments to the 2026 budget and TML's annual plan.
Amendments to the Organization Regulation of the Services of the Lisbon Metropolitan Area will also be approved, and the execution report of TML's budget for the 2nd quarter of 2026 will be noted.
The meeting will conclude with information on the activities of the Metropolitan Executive Commission of Lisbon and the discussion of other regional matters.
The Metropolitan Council, the deliberative body of the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, comprises the presidents of the municipal councils of the 18 municipalities in the region. It is chaired by Carlos Moedas, president of the Lisbon Municipal Council, with vice-presidents Fernando Paulo Ferreira (Vila Franca de Xira) and Ana Teresa Vicente (Palmela).
