As part of Superbike Estoril 2026, held at the Estoril Circuit, ANSR will have a dedicated awareness space. Visitors can access digital content and participate in interactive activities focused on road prevention. ANSR teams will highlight the dangers of speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol, reinforcing the importance of helmets and protective gear for motorcyclists.
This initiative follows similar actions carried out in September in Fátima and Ourém, where ANSR, in collaboration with the GNR, PSP, ANEPC, the municipality of Ourém, and Brisa Autoestradas, reached approximately 2,200 motorcyclists.
Additionally, on October 10th, between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM, ANSR will be present at the Nirvana Studios Open Day in Barcarena, Oeiras. Disposable breathalyzer self-tests will be distributed to encourage planning safe returns home after alcohol consumption. The event, with free entry, will also address speeding and the correct use of safety equipment.
Between 2023 and 2025, Portugal recorded over 34,000 accidents involving motorcycles and mopeds, resulting in 440 fatalities and more than three thousand serious injuries. ANSR reiterates the importance of using approved and well-adjusted helmets, protective gear, respecting speed limits, maintaining safe distances, and driving without alcohol or distractions.
To other drivers, ANSR urges increased attention, emphasizing checking blind spots, signaling maneuvers promptly, and maintaining a safe lateral distance as essential precautions for sharing the road.
