The Municipality of Azambuja received a new tractor on October 16th, under the Mechanization Program for Fuel Management, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).

The equipment was provided following a protocol signed with the Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests (ICNF), formalized at a session in Almeirim attended by the Secretary of State for Forests, Rui Ladeira. In total, protocols were signed for the transfer of 13 tractors to various municipalities.
This new tractor will enhance the Municipality's intervention capacity in fuel management and land clearing, contributing to the prevention of rural fires and the improvement of safety conditions throughout the county.
The initiative is part of a national investment of 27.5 million euros, which includes the provision of 150 tractors to municipalities across the country, aiming to strengthen resources for forest management and territorial protection.
With this acquisition, Azambuja increases its available resources for prevention actions and the protection of populations and natural spaces against the risk of rural fires.
