The Municipality of Peniche is launching the initiative PE 2520 – Sea Laboratory: Youth Entrepreneurship, a project running between October and December aimed at boosting young talent linked to the blue economy.

Under the slogan “Catch your wave”, the free program is aimed at secondary and higher education students, as well as unemployed young people from the municipality. The project, funded by the MAR 2030 program, seeks to train and retain young talent in Peniche by stimulating the blue economy.
The training program includes practical sessions and a final Bootcamp. Participants will cover crucial topics such as ocean literacy, sustainable business models, technological innovation, gamification, and the development of projects with community and environmental impact.
Activities will take place in municipal facilities, specifically the Intergenerational Civic Center - Prof. Rogtério Cação and the Youth Point – Ponto Jovem de Peniche. Through this initiative, the local authority aims to strengthen the involvement of new generations in maritime professions, developing strategic skills in management, marketing, and social and environmental innovation.
