The renovation of the A-dos-Negros Kindergarten in Óbidos has been completed, representing an investment of €31,471.40. The project, funded by the Óbidos Municipal Council and carried out by the Parish Council of A-dos-Negros, included the replacement of window frames, interior and exterior painting, roof cleaning and waterproofing, remodeling of sanitary facilities, and replacement of flooring. New furniture will be introduced to complement the improvements.
Filipe Daniel, the mayor, highlighted the importance of investing in education: “Investing in education is investing in the future of our municipality. We want all children in Óbidos, regardless of the parish they live in, to have access to quality, safe educational spaces with the best conditions to learn and grow.”
The mayor also emphasized that cooperation between the Municipality and the Parish Councils yields concrete results. “When we work together, with trust and a sense of responsibility, we can better meet the needs of the population,” he stated, congratulating the Parish Council of A-dos-Negros and thanking the educational community for their collaboration.
With this intervention, children and staff will now have a renewed space with improved thermal, acoustic, comfort, and safety conditions, in addition to the enhancements made to the outdoor areas and gardens.
