The initiative, held on October 1st, was presided over by the President of the Municipal Assembly of Óbidos, Fernando Jorge, and attended by the Municipal Executive. The forum brought together users and managers from 10 day and social centers across the municipality, including Areirinha, Amoreira, Arelho, Cabeleira, Gaeiras, Olho Marinho, Sancheira Grande, Sobral da Lagoa, Usseira, and Vau.
During the session, senior citizens had the opportunity to voice their concerns, share suggestions, and present their daily needs. The Mayor of Óbidos, Filipe Daniel, emphasized the importance of direct contact to "feel the difficulties of our population more closely, so that we can intervene precisely and continuously improve the quality of life for those who choose to live in Óbidos".
This action reinforces the Municipality of Óbidos' strategy in active aging, inclusion, and proximity policies, ensuring that the knowledge and experience of senior citizens continue to be an integral part of the council's development decisions and projects.
